The Battle of Bunker Hill
- Took place on June 17th 1775
- Just a few short months after the beginning of the Revolutionary War
- The British were lead by William Howe
- The colonists were lead by William Prescott
- British forces took two hills,Bunker Hill and Breeds Hill,to have tactical advantage
- Once the colonists heard of the plans of the British, they went secretly to defend the hills
- The actual battle took place at Breeds Hill, not Bunker Hill
- Although the British gained the hill, they suffered the most causalities of any single fight during the Revolutionary War
- 226 Englishmen were killed and 800 were wounded
